Apple Sauce Teething Biscuits Recipe

Apple Sauce Teething Biscuits Recipe | Organic Teething Cookies for Babies | Apple Sauce Recipe Ideas

It’s no secret that when your baby starts teething, it hurts.  Ouch! Cold baby teething toys, rubbing your fingers along your baby's gums... you'll do whatever it takes to help your little one get through this stage.

You’re giving your little one soft foods like applesauce to help ease their teething struggles.  But even though applesauce for babies and steamed vegetables are always a great way to keep your baby fed, sometimes you want something that will help your baby during his or her teething process.

For those times that your baby is crying in the night because his or her teeth are starting to grow in, here is a recipe for teething biscuits that you can make at home. That’s right – now you can make teething biscuits for your 6 month old!  This way, even though your newborn has to go through misery to get their pearly whites, at least the experience can be yummy and nutritious!

Applesauce baby teething biscuits are a delicious and useful addition to your teething baby’s diet.  Better yet, you can make them at home in a short amount of time!  Here’s how to do it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of apple maqui berry sauce (equivalent of 2 pouches)
  • 2 cups of spelt flour or organic rolled oats*
  • 2 tablespoons organic coconut oil

*if you use oats, grind them through your blender until they reach a flour consistency

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 285 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a bowl, mix the apple puree, flour and coconut oil.  You’ll want to add the flour in ½ cup increments as you go. Slowly combine the ingredients until you get a stiff dough.
  3. Place the dough aside onto a board and knead until it’s smoothed out.
  4. Roll out the dough to around half an inch thick.
  5. Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into clean strips that seem around the right size for your baby.
  6. Distribute the strips onto an oven tray and pop them in the pre-heated oven. Depending on your oven, they usually take about 30-45 minutes. In mine they take 30 minutes but keep an eye on them.
  7. Take them out when they’re ready.  You’ll know they’re done when they’re crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Make sure that you bite into them first before giving them to your baby. You want the texture to be soft enough for your baby’s gums.

To make this a well-rounded meal for your newborn, serve these drool-worthy (get it?) teething biscuits up as a side with some chilled organic baby food, like our best-selling Oats n' Berries.

Your baby and their new little teeth are going to be absolutely delighted.

My daughter-in-law feels there is not enough you bet in applesauce and will not let my grandson have these biscuits. They look and taste delicious to me,
