Here is a new way to prepare and enjoy our Oats n' Berries and Ancient Grain cereals as baby grows into a toddler. While our breakfast cereals can easily be mixed with warm water for a more traditional oatmeal, they can also be dressed up for overnight oats.
If you've never heard of overnight oats before, it is basically a cold preparation of oatmeal, leaving the oats and liquid to soak overnight in the fridge. It is a perfect summer treat and is a very customizable base for healthy toppings and mix-ins.
To start, mix 2 pouches of Oats n' Berries or Ancient Grain with 1/3 water (or milk). Stir in 1/3 cup of plain, whole milk yogurt. Let sit in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
In the morning when it is ready to serve, you can loosen it a bit with more cold milk or yogurt, or if you prefer it thicker, enjoy as is. Top and serve!
I topped mine with mandarin orange slices, raspberries, hemp seed, sunflower seed and chia seed. But here are more ideas for toppings:
Fresh fruit, dried fruit, chopped nuts, seeds, Amara yogurt melts, granola clusters, dollops of nut butter, toasted coconut, toasted oats
